Do You Want It All?

What do you want?

Success. Love. Acceptance. A job. Respect. A PR.

Everyone has dreams, ambitions, passions and goals. We can’t sleep at night because we are thinking about what could be. We can’t pay attention in class or at work because we are daydreaming about the desires of our hearts. These dreams are great and worthwhile, but each comes at a cost.

Do you want everything that comes with it?

If you want to be the CEO of a company, are you willing to build up from the bottom? Are you willing to work an entry level position for multiple years just to advance from one job after another until you are stuck for years in a manager role?

If you want to be loved, are you willing to go through the pain, heartbreak, and rejection it takes to find the person you will spend the rest of your life with? Are you willing to go through fights and tough nights to build a relationship that lasts?

Do you want hours of cold calls to gain a client base? Do you want the pain of a workout to gain strength? We want to have incredible physiques, but are you willing to work out and eat healthy to get there?

If you aren’t willing to go through the necessary difficulties of life, then you just dream of the idea of success. You enjoy the fantasy of a perfect life, job, or family, but aren’t willing to experience the reality of your desires.

Be honest with yourself. If you are in the business of rewards without struggle, then you need to reevaluate your dreams.

Instead of asking what you want, a better question is what pain are you willing to endure?

Do you want it bad enough to fail? Do you want it bad enough to face wall after wall? If you find yourself complaining after every setback then maybe you don’t want it enough.

Desire the struggle. Desire the process. Desire the pain.

“Struggles determine your successes, so choose your struggles wisely.”

Do you want it all?

I appreciate you.
