1-1-18 One Word

Happy New Year!

This is the time of year where everyone sets huge goals of exercising every day or eating healthy for the next year. From going bowling once a week to getting all A’s, everyone has something that they want to be better at during 2018. The problem is that most people never follow through with their new year’s resolutions. Often times objectives die within the first month of the year.

Why is this?

People make goals that are hard to follow and stick to. With exercising more, that goal is really vague and complicated. Even you don’t know exactly what your own goals looks like for the year. They can be so specific that if you miss one day you are already unmotivated and uncommitted.

I have 2 suggestions to help you look forward to 2018:

  1. Write down your goals and post them somewhere you can see every day. When you come across it each day you are reminded of what you are striving for in 2018.
  2. Find one word to pursue in 2018. Finding one word makes it easier for you to grow in 2018 than making hard to reach goals.

To help find what your one word is for 2018, I encourage you to look at GetOneWord.com
